The Drowning Prevention Institute (ZVU) is one of Slovenia’s leading organizations dedicated to enhancing safety on wild waters and during floods. Our primary mission is to elevate knowledge, awareness, and skills in this critical field through professional training and the development of safety standards.

Since our establishment in 2018, we have been committed to training professional rescuers, guides, and enthusiasts involved in wild water activities. Our instructors are highly qualified experts with over 20 years of experience, dating back to 2004. They have played a key role in the development of pivotal programs, including Program C, designed for individuals and organizations guideing activities such as rafting, kayaking, canyoning, SUP, and more, and Program E, specifically tailored for firefighters, rescue divers, and other rescue units, as well as members of Civil Protection, focused on flood and water rescue operations.
